And today was the day I finally had to drive it through some real snowfall and I would say that for a performance car on UHP all season tires it did better than I expected. The only time I got 'stuck' was driving up Avon Mtn. (Route 44 in CT) and cars had to slow down to pass a stuck Pontiac G5 and I lost momentum. To get out I just pinned the throttle and pointed the wheel where I wanted to go, it got sideways but eventually got some traction and made it to work.
Where I hoon'd the living hell out of the parking lot.

How does it compare to your GT-R?

Avon mountain sucks even in good weather. It's kind of unfortunate.

good. I'm glad you got sideways in your m3.

I love Rt. 44 in CT. Which bit? I used to drive the part between the Taconic and Sharon pretty often.

Don't/never had a GT-R. I decided to buy the M3 because the R32 still wasn't being imported in numbers and I needed to buy a new car. I do hope to buy one in the future.

It's not bad after they reconstructed and repaved part of it. Now the only bad part about it is other drivers and the massive police presence late at night.

Yes indeed. I remember the days when it was a foregone conclusion that without a tank you would die in bad weather.

Avon Mtn. is towards the other end, relatively close to Hartford. I drive all the way out on 44 to get to Lime Rock and when I feel like taking a drive, I love that section you are talking about.

except the curve was better before the damned engineers are trying to make all the roads straight! I drove up and over and then back again today from west hartford, they've been closing it on occasion in these big storms lately. Momentum is key though and tough if you get a red at the bottom.
